St Day AFC - Youth Football

"WE INVEST IN OUR YOUTH FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY"

We re-instated our youth section to St Day AFC back in the summer of  2011 and  with hard work and dedication by many, we have never looked back. We have seen over 300 players come through our doors and hopefully change the life's of all of them and their families. We have teams competing in the Kernow Youth League, Kernow League Cup and the Cornwall FA boys development Cup each season. We have a fantastic link with the Plymouth Argyle Development centre which has seen boys given additional weekly training and we are proud to say that some have been fortunate to sign a contract, our loss is defiantly their gain.

The development of every child as a footballer and as an individual is our main objective. From the beginning we promise to do everything we can to ensure that this occurs in a safe and enjoyable environment. The FA Charter Standard scheme is designed to create the footballers and coaches of tomorrow with an outlet to adult football; The club is consider a FA development club (tier 2 of 3) in the eyes of the FA

The progression through the game formats is in line with the FA Future Game and England DNA strategy.
