St Day host charity day in aid of Cornish stalwart Kerwin Prisk
Kerwin Prisk served St Day for more than 50 years, and in October of 2014 the county's football clubs united as they mourned the death of one of local football's most popular characters. To continue the honour of Kerwin Prisk, the club will be hosting a day of football at Vogue Park on Sunday October 13th.
The annual memorial day in honour of our past Chairman Kerwin Prisk will this year remember his good friend and our Past President; Tony Evans.
We will kick off the day with our U8s playing at home at 10:30 and hopefully another fixture too.
In the afternoon we will play Kerwin's XI v Tony's XI at 1pm. The managers of the two sides will be their respective Sons; Gary Prisk & Mark Evans. Something else new for this season we will remember a former manager of the club John Mallaber. John is dad of current 1st team manager Joff and was a manager of our third team here at St Day. John also managed other local sides and when we we're ask if we would host a game in his honour, we naturally said yes!!!
So at 4pm in memory of John Mallaber
Frogpool/Four Lanes XI v St Day XI
The day will play host to a BBQ, facepainter for all and of course the clubhouse will be open and all money raised will go to Charity.
If you wish to play please get in touch Joff Mallaber, Chris Gardner, Amanda (Mark) Evans or Gary Prisk who are all available via faceblook and we would love to get as many involved as possible. The St Day side in the second game will be managed by our own managers, Joff Mallaber, Phil Richards, Kieran Leah & Andrew Lillie. Any players, that knew Kerwin, Tony or John or interested in playing for either of the teams, please contact Kieran Leah asap so he can organise the team 07796614610 or Phil Richards everyone will get a game.
