Each summer Vogue Park gets transformed into a stage to celebrate the dedication and success of two great former saints. The youth tournament which runs across both the Saturday and Sunday was introduced in 2013/2014 to celebrate the dedication of our former Chairman and Head Groundsman Mr David Searle. Dave Searle is a true clubman and one that is valued so much by all footballers, cricketers and the local community. Sadly on Monday 16th March 2020 Dave passed away after a short battle with cancer. The club presented him with a gold blazer in 2014 to mark his 50th year, something only honoured by four people previous. We too introduced this summer weekend tournament in his honour; The Dave Searle Cup. He literally is in a league of his own when it comes to being a volunteer, no one ever did or will put in more than this man and thanks to him, and hundreds of people each week get out so much.

On the Sunday along side this competition we remember a former manager of the club Sheldon Mitchell. This dedicated adult 5 a side tournament has been running for over 20 years and one that we still proudly host on behalf of his family. Sheldon never actually played for St Day but always managed and dedicated a lot of time and effort in doing so. On his passing, the club, with the aid of his sons; Tony & Terry commenced the Sheldon Mitchell annual 5 a side tournament to help raise funds for the club. Sheldon was passionate and never liked losing, in one memory Sheldon was believe to be that upset that The Saints were 1-0 down playing away at Mullion, he started raging at the Seagulls sitting on the telegraph pole.
