ALL BUT ONE!!

After another washout weekend, the U13 Tinners were the only team to get a game winning 5-1 away at Falmouth, great game with some lovely football played and a great array of boots on show. It was also an ideal opportunity for some of our coaches and potential new coaches to get a "Step into Football".

The step into football course, first introduced by the Cornwall FA last year our workshops designed for new coaches, volunteers and parents who would like to know more about football coaching but do not wish to/ aren't ready to take the FA Level 1 Course.

Who is the workshop for?

This 2 1/2 hour workshop is designed specifically to give an introduction into running a youth football team for parents or new volunteers who would like to get more involved. No experience required to attend, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved and learn about how you could help!

What will the workshop cover?

Over the 2 1/2 hours there will be a combination of theory and practical elements looking at understanding of why children play football, health and safety, fundamental warm ups & cool downs, basic game related activities and much more!

What’s Next?

It is hoped that the knowledge taken from this workshop will give you inspiration to attend the FA Level 1 Course which is the first step in the FA Coaching ladder. As this course is the entry Level for grassroots coaches it will follow on with the content learned on this workshop but over 7 different blocks directly relating to the 'England DNA'.

Well done to (L to R): Mike Kevern (U9s), Lee Duffield (U7s), Carl Clarke (U10s), Hayley Harding (U8s), James Richards (U7s) and Simon Bray (U12s Linesman). Missing from photo was Neil Boddington (U12s Parent) for attending the course and you all said it was very worthwhile and you learnt something new, perfect scenario really then.

Good Luck to Carl who commences his coaching pathway this Friday at Cornwall College.
