DAVE " A REAL CLUB MAN" SEARLE
50 YEARS SERVICE
Saturday 1st November saw a turn out of over 100 people at Vogue Park in players reunion evening. Old and current faces were there to see how the club is doing nowadays but also with the hidden agenda of celebrating Dave Searle’s 50 years of service to Cornish Football.
Dave recently was awarded for his service at the dinner and dance this year with the Dave Searle Cup which now is presented for the annual youth tournament. He was also the first man to receive a blazer with a gold club badge on it.
The evening saw a representative from The CCFA, Dave James to recognise his achievement and came down to present Dave with some awards. The FA had given a personal letter from them and also a personalised boxed gold medal. The CCFA presented him with a certificate logging his service along with an engraved piece of glass and 50 years lapel badge which Dave quickly pinned to his blazer.
The club are hugely proud to say we have people that have dedicated their life to St Day AFC. Some of those are
Kerwin Prisk - 58 Years
Dave Searle - 50 Years
Tony Evans - 49 Years (This Season)
Adrian Walters - 25 Years (This Season)
And if you know of any others please contact the club so we can add them to the list.
