SEPTEMBER COACH OF THE MONTH ARE VERY OWN MARTYN DAUGHTERY

Background of the Coaches Academy
For the season 2016/17 and beyond the Cornwall FA is pleased to introduce our NEW COACHES ACADEMY, the aim of our new  project is to honour and recognise those coaches who have committed to a  learning journey in terms of their own personal development by inviting them to  join the Cornwall FA Coaches Academy. The Coaches Academy is not only designed  to recognise its members, it also offers access to a community designed to  support, share ideas and best practice as well as identify coaches who may  support other coach development through exemplar practices and by offering  opportunities for coaches to view Cornwall’s best practitioners coaching in  situ.  The Academy will be made up of a mix of FA full time staff, FA Coach  Mentors, FA Tutors, Skills Team Members as well as experienced and newly  qualified members of the Cornish Coaching Community.

Coach of the Month Award

In addition to the above Cornwall FA would  like to recognise all levels of participation and achievement by coaches in  Cornwall. With this in mind a new award is being launched which will recognise a  range of coaches who have a variety of experiences, backgrounds and  qualifications. Candidates will be nominated in a number of ways, from internal  nomination through a club, long service or commitment or via the Cornwall FA  network of staff and members.

Each month a coach will be chosen and receive a  prize and award presented to them from Cornwall FA. The September winner was are very own Martyn Daugherty who heads up with GK academy at the club, click here to read what the Cornwall FA had to say about him and why they chose him as a winner.
