Grassroots Awards 2020 - Club of The Year and Grounds Team of The Year goes to St Day AFC and St Day AFC Youth
This clubs goes above and beyond for 14 teams every single week. Built on volunteers the club excels in all parts from administration, to players, to volunteers to the ground staff. Every single week the facilities are offered to all teams from U7s to the first team and no one is considered more important. The amount of volunteers is impressive and the fact that the club actively engages the older youth players to help with the younger age groups in coaching and/or refereeing is also admirable.
We are overwhelmed to even be nominated but to win Grassroots club of the year is amazing.
Our grounds team are very hard working and too deserve to win. They work on the facilities most days of the week.
It's amazing what can be achieved when everyone contributes. We think about it as a Jigsaw Puzzle and if everyone does their piece of the jigsaw we as a club will succeed and this emphasis that. Although it's a big jigsaw which never seems to be finished it is a great boost for everyone
